Partner Engagement Lead, Technology Sector at World Economic Forum

Alix Cabral has a diverse work experience in various organizations. They currently work at the World Economic Forum as a Partner Engagement Lead in the Technology Sector. Prior to this, they held roles at the International Rescue Committee as a Senior Officer in Global Technology Partnerships, managing corporate technology partners and developing collaboration strategies for sustained revenue generation and humanitarian impact. They also worked as an Officer in Global Technology Partnerships at the same organization.

In addition, they worked at UNICEF as a Communication Officer, focusing on digital partnerships and strategic relationships with social platforms and UN agencies. They also served as a Digital Content Editor in the Office of Innovation, developing content for educational resource platforms and ensuring parity with the information delivered through UNICEF's RapidPro platform.

Before their time at UNICEF, they worked as an IO/UNS Newsletter Editor and Research Assistant at Columbia University in the City of New York. Prior to that, they had roles at Yahoo as a Content Management Analyst III and II. They also worked as an Associate Client Strategist at Quantcast.

Their early work experience includes a role as a Research Associate at kglobal, a national marketing firm focused on public affairs, grassroots, and advocacy.

Alix Cabral holds a Master of Arts degree in Global Studies from Columbia University, which was obtained from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Relations, with a focus on French Language and Literature, at Colorado College from 2007 to 2011. In 2009, Alix participated in a Study Abroad Semester at the Africa Consultants International (Baobab Center), although no specific degree was obtained during this time.

Aside from their formal education, Alix has also obtained various certifications. In 2023, they completed the "Innovation of Products and Services: MIT's Approach to Design Thinking" certification from Emeritus. They also obtained the "Evaluations of AI Applications in Healthcare" certification from Coursera in the same year. Alix has attended the NETHOPE Virtual Global Summit in 2020 as a delegate, and the NETHOPE 20th Anniversary Summit in 2021, both organized by the International Rescue Committee.
