Daniel Dobrygowski

Head Of Governance And Trust at World Economic Forum

Daniel Dobrygowski has a diverse work experience in various sectors. Daniel is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia | SIPA since December 2022. Previously, they worked at the World Economic Forum from 2015 to 2022, where they held multiple roles including Head of Governance and Trust and Global Leadership Fellow. At the World Economic Forum, they led global projects on cybersecurity, cybercrime, and digital trust, developed programs and strategy for business and government leaders in the technology industry, and provided legal counsel.

Daniel also served as a Member of the Management Board at the Cyber Risk Institute from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Associate at WilmerHale from 2011 to 2013, where they advised multinational telecommunications and semiconductor sector firms on antitrust/competition regulatory/policy and business strategy.

Furthermore, they were a Founding Board Member at Cornerstone Academy Preparatory School from 2008 to 2011, where their responsibilities included developing governance structures for a non-profit oversight board.

Daniel Dobrygowski started their career as an Associate Attorney at Jones Day from 2007 to 2011, representing high-technology and financial services clients in litigation and counseling. Daniel also worked as a Judicial Extern at the Supreme Court of California in 2007 and as a Summer Associate at Jones Day in 2006.

Additionally, they have experience in education, having worked as a Teacher of English at Teach For America from 2002 to 2004. Overall, their work experience demonstrates expertise in areas such as governance, cybersecurity, technology law, policy, and competition regulation.

Daniel Dobrygowski has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Harvard Kennedy School. Daniel also holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law. Prior to that, Daniel obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from The Johns Hopkins University, majoring in English and Psychology. Additionally, they have been admitted to both the Bar Association of the District of Columbia in December 2011 and the State Bar of California in December 2007.
