Fergus Cloughley

Advisory On Data Flow at World Economic Forum

Fergus Cloughley is the Director and Chief Executive Officer of International Data Flows since April 2001, where notable achievements include co-authoring the OBASHI Methodology and co-architecting the OBASHI software. Currently, Fergus serves as an Expert Advisor for the BSI and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, contributing to the International Data Transfers Expert Council. Additionally, Fergus is a Contributor for the Bundesministerium der Finanzen and the World Economic Forum, engaging in various international projects related to data governance. As a Commissioner for the Forth Valley Connectivity Commission, Fergus advises on optimizing data strategies for regional benefits. Previous experience includes roles as Co-Author at SQA and University for Peace, Advisor at the Bank of England, and as CEO and co-founder of e-Kinetic Ltd. Educational background includes studies at Falkirk College of Technology from 1986 to 1989.
