Hashendra Wijesinha has a diverse work experience across various organizations. In their current role at the World Economic Forum, they serve as the Lead, Strategy and Program Management (Chief of Staff) for the Centre for Nature and Climate. Hashendra has also held positions as the Lead and Specialist for the Nature Action Agenda.

From 2002 to 2009, Hashendra attended Mont'Kiara International School where they obtained an American High School Diploma with a focus on the International Baccalaureate program.

In 2010, they enrolled at The Australian National University and earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Management. During the same period, Hashendra also completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Development Studies and Political Science.

In 2017, they pursued a Graduate Diploma in Commerce at the University of Sydney, specializing in Sustainability and Accounting.

Continuing their education, Hashendra attended Bond University from 2018 to 2019 where they completed a Master of Construction Practice degree. Hashendra specialized in Construction Economics during their time at Bond University.

In 2021, Hashendra attended the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and obtained a certification as a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance.

In addition to their formal education, Hashendra has obtained several certifications. In June 2019, they became a Climate Reality Leader through The Climate Reality Project. In February 2012, they completed the Youth Mental Health First Aid certification offered by Mental Health First Aid Australia.
