Jackie Jung

Jackie Jung serves as a member of the Global Future Council for Advanced Manufacturing and Value Chains at the World Economic Forum since March 2023 and has held the position of Vice President of Global Operations Strategy & Corporate Sustainability at Western Digital since August 2008. In this role, Jackie leads initiatives focused on transformation and operational performance, including long-range manufacturing strategies and risk optimization. Previous positions at Western Digital include Chief of Staff and Strategy to the Executive Vice President of Global Operations, where Jackie drove the company’s Fourth Industrial Revolution transformation, and several director-level roles that encompassed product engineering, analytics, and operations management. Prior to Western Digital, Jackie was involved in engineering and R&D at Komag Inc. with significant contributions to process optimization. Academically, Jackie holds a Master’s and Engineer degree in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, an Executive Education certification in Strategy and Organization from Stanford University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, graduating summa cum laude from UCLA.
