Julia Hakspiel

Julia Hakspiel is an experienced professional in gender equity and economic inclusion, currently serving as the Action Lead for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the World Economic Forum, where Julia oversees a global network aimed at closing gender gaps in workforce participation and leadership. As a co-founder of Sauti Africa, Julia empowers SMEs in the East African Community through a mobile-based trade and market information platform. Julia's previous roles include consulting for the International Finance Corporation on gender strategies in fragile states, leading gender integration at MarketShare Associates, and providing trade and social development consultancy across various organizations. Julia holds an MSc in Development Studies from The London School of Economics and a BSc in Politics with Economics from the University of Bath.
