Rob McGinnis serves as a Global Innovator at the World Economic Forum since May 2022, recognized as one of 50 innovators at Davos WEF 2022. As the Founder and CEO of Prometheus since December 2018, Rob focuses on technologies to remove CO2 from the atmosphere and convert it into gasoline and jet fuel. Additionally, Rob is the Founder and CEO of Mattershift, which specializes in carbon nanotube membranes for molecular factories, a role maintained since January 2013. Previously, Rob held the position of Founder and CTO at Oasys Water from May 2008 to July 2012, where innovative solutions for NH3/CO2 forward osmosis desalination were developed. Rob McGinnis holds a Doctorate in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, both from Yale University, and completed Y Combinator in 2019.
