Salvatore Freni

Community Lead, Europe at World Economic Forum

Salvatore Freni has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Salvatore first started working as a Research Assistant at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) in January 2010. Then, in March 2013, they joined the World Economic Forum as a Community Specialist, Eurasia, where they worked until June 2016. Salvatore then took on the role of Community Lead - Europe & Eurasia at the World Economic Forum from July 2016 to March 2018. Salvatore'smost recent position is as Community Lead, Europe at the World Economic Forum, starting from October 2019.

Salvatore Freni has a diverse education history, starting with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, Magna Cum Laude, from Northeastern University, which they completed from 2008 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Russian and Eastern European Studies at the University of Birmingham from 2011 to 2012.

In order to further their language skills, Salvatore Freni obtained a Certificate in Russian as a foreign language from Saint Petersburg State University in 2009. Continuing their language studies, they also earned a Certificate in French as a foreign language from CAVILAM - Alliance française in 2008.

To expand their linguistic repertoire even more, Salvatore Freni completed a short-term Arabic language program at the Saifi Institute for Arabic Language in 2018.
