Sam Grayling has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. They started their career at ANZ as a Financial Analyst in 2010, then moved on to Statistics New Zealand as a Statistical Analyst from 2011 to 2014. They then joined The Treasury - New Zealand as a Senior Analyst, where they worked from 2015 to 2020. In 2021, Sam joined the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) as a Manager - Aquaculture Policy. Currently, they are working at the World Economic Forum as an Insights Lead - Work Wages and Job Creation since 2022.

Sam Grayling completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business/Management at the University of Otago from 2006 to 2009. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Professional Economics at Victoria University of Wellington from 2014 to 2016.
