Smitha Das has a diverse work experience across multiple organizations. Smitha worked as the Director, Mission and Impact Investing at World Education Services (WES), where they oversaw WES' mission and impact investing portfolios and developed a strategy for greater mission alignment. Smitha was also a Principal, Impact Investing at WES, where they built an impact investing practice focused on economic, social, and educational inclusion for migrant and BIPOC communities. At Social Finance, they served as an Associate Director, focusing on impact investing in the areas of economic mobility, workforce development, and environmental sustainability. Smitha also worked as a Strategic Advisor to the CEO at Social Finance. Smitha Das has been involved with various organizations in advisory and board roles, including Cell-Ed, New Power Labs, and Harvard University. Additionally, they have experience as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University's Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Lab and The Innovator's Practice programs. Prior to that, they worked as a Summer Associate at Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation and as an Associate at Cube Hydro Partners. Smitha Das is also the founder of a non-profit organization called AWAKE, which focuses on increasing water accessibility, sanitation, and conservation. Smitha has spoken at various global events, including the World Water Forum, Democratic National Convention, and United Nation's Environmental Program conferences.

Smitha Das has a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School. Smitha also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University. In addition, they have obtained the Level 1 Award in Wines certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET).
