James Yeates

James Yeates is the Chief Executive Officer of the World Federation for Animals, a position held since October 2021. Previously, James served as the Chief Executive Officer at Cats Protection from November 2018 to October 2021 and as the Director of Resources at the RSPCA from August 2017 to October 2018, overseeing HR, OD, IT, and DP functions. Earlier roles include Chief Veterinary Officer at the RSPCA from June 2011 to September 2017, focusing on the welfare of animals and people. James holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Surrey, a Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Bristol, and additional degrees in Medical Ethics and Law, Veterinary Biomedical and Clinical Sciences, as well as a Certificate in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics, and Law from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
