Alan Awimbo

Alan Awimbo currently serves as the Head of Partnerships and Communications at the World Food Programme since July 2023. Prior to this role, Alan was employed at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies from August 2019 to July 2023, where responsibilities included Senior Officer for Strategic Engagement and Partnerships, as well as Partnerships and Resource Development Officer. Earlier experience at the World Food Programme as a Partnerships Officer occurred from June 2018 to May 2019. Alan also worked as a Consultant at Rupia Microfinance from January 2013 to May 2018 and completed an internship in the legal division at Kenindia Insurance Company in late 2012, focusing on legal case-note drafting, record analysis, and contract management. Alan holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Affairs from the United States International University - Africa.
