World Food Programme
Eduardo Castro Jr. is a highly experienced professional currently serving as a Senior Programme Associate for the World Food Programme since April 2021, focusing on the development of Early Warning Systems for droughts and capacity strengthening for governmental institutions in Mozambique. Prior to this role, Eduardo worked as an Assistant Consultant at Universidade Eduardo Mondlane and held lecturer positions at Universidade Wutivi and Universidade Técnica de Moçambique, teaching Environmental Legislation and supervising student projects. Eduardo's extensive background in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation includes roles as a Research Assistant for the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz and as an Assistant Researcher for the Delegation of the European Union to the African Union. Eduardo holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from Suzhou University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy from Universidade Eduardo Mondlane.
