Elena Ursu

Elena Ursu is a seasoned humanitarian professional with extensive experience in global access and conflict analysis. Currently serving as a Global Humanitarian Access Adviser at the Norwegian Refugee Council since February 2021, Elena has held several roles at this organization, including Global Roving Access Adviser and Regional Access Adviser. Prior to this, Elena was the Country Representative and Sahel Regional Analyst for the International NGO Safety Organisation. Elena's background includes research and legal expertise with notable institutions such as The Clingendael Institute, the United Nations, and the International Criminal Court. Elena holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Laws from Yenching Academy of Peking University, and has focused studies in law, politics, and international affairs at leading universities across Europe.
