Joseph McHugh

Joseph McHugh has extensive experience in speechwriting and journalism, currently serving as a Speechwriter to the Executive Director at the United Nations World Food Programme since August 2016. Prior to this, McHugh held the position of Director and Executive Speechwriter at Deutsche Bank from January 2013 to August 2016, and worked as a Speechwriter to the Secretary of State for Business and Skills, as well as a Ministerial Speechwriter at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills from July 2008 to December 2012. McHugh’s journalism career includes roles as a Freelance News Reporter for the Sunday Telegraph and Deputy Editor at Public Finance, among others. Educational credentials include a BA (Hons) in English Language & Literature from the University of Oxford and a Postgraduate Diploma in Newspaper Journalism from City St George’s, University of London.
