Shannon Siyao Wang serves as the Climate and Resilience Lead for Global Partner Countries at the World Food Programme since August 2022, following a role as Senior Specialist for Fragility with COP28 UAE. With extensive experience in climate change policy and project development, Shannon has held positions at the UN Environment Programme as a Regional NDC Expert, and at REN21 as a Policy Consultant, leading initiatives in renewable energy and conservation strategies. Other notable experiences include managing programs at WWF and the Asian Development Bank, and providing policy analysis at the OECD. Shannon's educational background includes an MPhil in Environmental Economics and Law from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Environmental Policy with Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
