Syeda Rabeea Ahmed

Syeda Rabeea Ahmed is an experienced professional in cash-based transfers and programming within humanitarian contexts. Currently serving as the Deputy Head of Cash Based Transfers and Identity Management at the World Food Programme since February 2024, Ahmed previously held the position of CVA Specialist at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for Ukraine from June 2022 to January 2024. Prior to this, notable roles included Senior Cash Advisor during deployment to UN OCHA in Yemen, Regional Programme Policy Officer for Cash Based Transfers in the Asia and Pacific Region at the World Food Programme, and Cash Expert with the Norwegian Refugee Council. Ahmed's academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in International Humanitarian Affairs from the University of York, an MBA in Information Technology from Allama Iqbal Open University, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Journalism, and Persian from the University of the Punjab, and an intermediate qualification in Pre-Medicine from Viqar un Nisa Noon Girls Higher Secondary Institute.
