Michael Villis

Michael Villis has a diverse and extensive work experience. Michael has held various roles in different companies. In their current role at World Fuel Services, they serve as the VP for Domain Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Kinect Energy. Prior to this, they served as the VP for Domain Architecture - Infrastructure & Kinect Energy at the same company. Before joining World Fuel Services, Michael worked at Suncorp Group, where they held several positions, including Enterprise Architect, Principal Architect - Technology Services, Architect - BT Services, Architect - Application Development Tools, Architect (Secondment) - Applied Research, Tech Lead - Workflow & Content Solutions, and System Analyst - EasySuite (Document Generation & Content Mgmt). Michael also gained valuable experience during their time at McDonald's, where they started as a Crew person and worked their way up to Shift Manager. Michael's work experience spans a wide range of responsibilities and domains, including domain architecture, infrastructure, security, APIs, identity, digital transformation, and DevOps.

Michael Villis attended the University of Southern Queensland from 2004 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of IT degree with a focus on E-commerce, IT Management, and Marketing. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Laidley State High School from 1998 to 2002. Michael also holds additional certifications, including an AWS Solution Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services and TOGAF I & II from The Open Group, both obtained in 2017.
