Amna Smailbegovic

Amna Smailbegovic is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in humanitarian action and international relations. Currently serving as a Communications Officer in the News and Media Team at the World Health Organization since June 2020, Amna previously worked as a Press and Public Information Officer at the United Nations Office at Geneva, where the focus included facilitating communication on critical global issues like human rights and climate change. Amna's career also includes roles as an Associate Press Officer at UNOG, Project Manager at the Geneva Centre for Education and Research in Humanitarian Action, and Programme Manager at Oxfam and Cesvi Fondazione Onlus, where significant work was done on humanitarian response and program management in various regions, including Eastern DRC and Cambodia. Amna holds a Master's degree in Humanitarian Action from the University of Geneva and a BSc in International Development from the University of London.
