Brecht Devleesschauwer

Brecht Devleesschauwer is currently serving as President of the Belgian Association of Public Health and Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Archives of Public Health while holding the position of Head of Service for Health Information at Sciensano. With extensive experience in epidemiology, Brecht has held roles such as Head of Service for Lifestyle and Chronic Diseases at Ghent University and a member of the FERG Computational Task Force at the World Health Organization. Brecht's previous positions include Epidemiologist at the Scientific Institute of Public Health and Assistant Scientist at the University of Florida, with a strong academic foundation comprising dual PhDs in Veterinary Sciences and Public Health, as well as a Master’s in Statistics.
