Mohammed Yusuf

Mohammed Yusuf has extensive experience in health system financing and management, primarily with the National Health Insurance Fund in Sudan since 2004, where roles have included Member of the Training Committee, Director General of Planning and Research, Acting Director General, and Executive Director. Significant contributions include developing strategic plans for health insurance, overseeing the implementation of policies for universal health coverage, and leading health system reforms. Additional roles include serving as a Health System Consultant with the World Health Organization and holding a ministerial position in the State Ministry of Health, focusing on regulatory functions and public-private partnerships. Mohammed Yusuf holds a Master's degree in Health Economics and Health Care Management from Chulalongkorn University and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Khartoum.
