Daniel Trup

Daniel Trup currently serves as Legal Counsel and Senior Legal Officer at the World Meteorological Organization, providing legal advice on governance, international public law, and financial matters. Previously, Daniel Trup worked at the United Nations from September 2013 to March 2020, representing cases before Dispute and Appeal Tribunals and providing legal support in various roles across multiple locations. Daniel Trup's earlier experience includes serving as a Legal Officer for the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo, advising on human rights, and as a Legal Expert with EULEX Kosovo, focusing on organized and war crimes. Prior experience also includes work as a Legal Officer for the Prosecutors’ Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, specifically on war crime cases. Daniel Trup holds an LLM in International Law from the University of Kent, obtained between 2003 and 2005.
