Yiannis Avramides

Yiannis Avramides is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the field of heritage conservation and management, currently serving as the Senior Director of Programs at the World Monuments Fund since September 2009. In this role, Yiannis oversees the administration of the Programs department, providing strategic guidance on project management and supporting fundraising efforts. Previous positions include Director of World Monuments Watch, where Yiannis defined the program's strategic direction, and Senior Manager, where initiatives such as the 2020 and 2022 cycles were launched. Yiannis has a strong educational background with a B.S.E. in Civil Engineering and Architecture from Princeton University, a M.Sc. in Historic Preservation from Columbia University, and a Certificate in Not-For-Profit Accounting and Governmental Reporting from New York University.
