Marton Schimcsig has over 20 years of work experience in the technology industry. In 1999, they began their career as a Web Developer at T-Online. Marton then worked as a J2EE Support Engineer at Amdocs in 2006. From 2007 to 2009, they served as a Technical Architect at Unisys. In 2009, they started freelancing as a Python Developer.

In 2012, Marton launched their own startups in the search engine space, where they developed and implemented new product search and comparison services. Marton successfully utilized machine learning techniques to categorize large amounts of diverse data. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, the startups could not find the right product-market fit and ceased operations in 2014.

Following this, Marton joined M-Telekom in 2014 as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead. Marton worked on developing business automation services, facing challenges with legacy databases and new technology requirements. Marton also introduced lean ideas, including the use of automated tests, to improve development practices.

In 2015, Marton joined World News Network as a Senior Lead Software Engineer, where they currently hold a position.

Marton Schimcsig earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from Gábor Dénes Egyetem / Dennis Gabor University. Additionally, they obtained certifications in various machine learning topics, including Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning, from Coursera in 2017.
