Sara Lysholm

Sara Lysholm is a highly skilled veterinary professional with extensive experience in animal health and research. Currently serving as a PPR Status Officer at the World Organisation for Animal Health since January 2024, Sara also holds the position of Chairperson at Veterinarians without Borders - Sweden. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at the International Livestock Research Institute, where innovative methodologies were employed to estimate brucellosis burdens in Kenya, and a PhD student at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, focusing on transboundary diseases in Zambia and Tanzania.
