Marc Dettmann is currently serving as the Manager of Corporate Water Stewardship at the World Resources Institute since September 2023. Previously, from April 2013 to September 2023, Marc held the position of GROWS Program Director at the Global Environment & Technology Foundation, overseeing a program aimed at enhancing rural water governance in East Africa for USAID mission staff. Additionally, Marc directed the Water and Development Alliance Program, managing a $20 million funding initiative for water projects across Nigeria, Iraq, Madagascar, and Tanzania. Earlier experience includes roles in research and project coordination for organizations such as WaterAid America, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs, and the UNDP Water Governance Program in the Arab States. Marc holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and International Affairs from Marquette University.
