Rich Barnett

Rich Barnett has extensive experience in nonprofit development and communication, currently serving as a Senior Writer and Development Strategist at the World Resources Institute since 1996. Barnett has held various leadership roles, including Director of the Global Advisory Council and Director of Individual Giving and Special Events. Prior to this position, Barnett worked as Vice President at The Sheridan Group, enhancing development operations for nonprofit clients, and as Associate Director of Development at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, contributing to a $15 million capital campaign. Earlier experience includes roles as Writer/Editor at The Taft Group, where coverage focused on corporate and foundation giving trends. Barnett holds a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law.
