Ro, Byung Jick

Song Moo Kwan Founder at World Song Moo Kwan United

Byung Jick Ro is the founder of World Song Moo Kwan United and a former adjunct faculty member at Hamline University, where they taught Taekwondo. Ro, has also been involved with White Tiger Martial Arts.

Ro began their martial arts training in Taekwondo in South Korea in 1965. After moving to the United States, they started teaching Taekwondo in 1998 at Hamline University. In 2005, the class was converted to an accredited P.E. activity course. The P.E. course is still going strong today, and the students are in the process of restructuring the club to provide additional training opportunities.

In addition to their work with World Song Moo Kwan United and Hamline University, Ro has also been involved with White Tiger Martial Arts.

Ro, Byung Jick has a BS in Physical Education from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, a Certificate in Law Enforcement from Hibbing Technical College, an AS in Physical Education from Hibbing Community College, and a High School diploma from Chisholm High School.

Some direct reports include Hyon, Jun Seon "Jay" - Karate Center (Song Moo Kwan), Choi, Joon Pyo - Song Moo Kwan Moogong Ryu, and Kim, Il Kwon - Song Moo Kwan Jabae Ryu.
