Jean Yanga's work experience begins in 2009, when they worked as a Substitute Teacher at the DIP in Geneva. From 2010 to 2013, Jean worked as a Paralegal at the World Trade Organization and also had an internship as a trainee at the same organization in 2010. In 2014, Jean worked as a Legal Assistant at ISA-Lex Avocats. Currently, Jean is working as a Project Coordinator at the World Trade Organization, a position they have held since 2015.

Jean Yanga completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in International Law and Legal Studies at the University of Geneva from 2007 to 2010. They then pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Business Law, focusing on the Law of Contracts, WTO Law, and IP Law at the same institution from 2010 to 2012. In 2016, Jean attended Georgetown University Law Center and obtained a Certificate from the Global Trade Academy, specializing in International Business, Trade, and Commerce, with a particular emphasis on WTO Law. They also obtained a Certificate in WTO Law, International Trade, and Development from the Geneva Graduate Institute in 2016. Jean is currently pursuing a Certificate in International Organizations Management at the University of Geneva, starting in 2022 and ending in 2023. Jean also obtained a Certificate in Interdisciplinary Research: Approaches and Methods from the University of Geneva in 2020.
