Godfrey Senkaba

Director, Design, Monitoring And Evaluation at World Vision USA

Godfrey Senkaba has a comprehensive work experience in monitoring and evaluation roles in the development sector. Godfrey started their career as an Evaluation and Research Specialist at Compassion International, Uganda, providing technical leadership for a child development program. Godfrey then worked at Uganda Christian University as a Part-time Lecturer, where they co-developed M&E modules for a Post-Graduate Diploma in Development Evaluation.

Senkaba also worked at World Vision International Uganda as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, designing and establishing the M&E function for humanitarian emergencies. Godfrey later became a Program Officer, managing grants and projects worth over $6 million.

Godfrey then transitioned to University Research Co., LLC (URC) & Center for Human Services (CHS) as a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor for the USAID/Nulife Program, where they managed the implementation of a web-based M&E system for food and nutrition interventions.

At World Vision, Senkaba held various roles, including National Design, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, Associate Director for Portfolio Quality & Performance Management, and Senior Program Quality Advisor. These roles involved managing program monitoring systems, strategy development, and performance management.

Currently, Senkaba is the Director of Design, Monitoring and Evaluation at World Vision USA. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in M&E, program management, and strategy development in the development sector.

Godfrey Senkaba completed their MSc. in Evaluation and Applied Research at Claremont Graduate University from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts in Social Sector Planning and Management from Makerere University from 2003 to 2005. Godfrey also holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work & Social Administration from Makerere University, which they completed from 1998 to 2001. In addition, they have a certification as a Certified Professional Impact Analyst (CPIA) from Queen's University, obtained in 2019.
