Associate Vice President, Food Security & Livelihoods Sector at World Vision USA

Serena Stepanovic's work experience includes various roles in different organizations. Serena has served as a Member at Chief, a private membership network for women executive leaders. Serena has also been a Board Member at Eagle Online Academy and Kids Rank. In 2018, they worked at World Vision USA as the Associate Vice President for the Food Security & Livelihoods Sector. Prior to that, they held positions at University Research Co., LLC (URC) & Center for Human Services (CHS) as a Senior Advisor for Livelihoods & Resilience and Strategic Behavior Change & Communication. Serena was also involved with SOL Worldwide, LLC, where they worked as a Lead Technical Grant Writer/Consultant and an Operations Design Consultant for World Vision US. In addition, they worked at World Vision as the Director of Operations for the Strategic Programming & Sponsorship Effectiveness Department in the International Programs Group. Before that, Serena served as a Program Manager/Coordinator for the USAID/Higa Ubeho Program at CHF and as a Non-Lethal Ops Subject Matter Expert at IDS International.

Serena Stepanovic holds a High School Diploma from Montclair High School. Serena obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Michigan in 1998. In 2004-2005, Serena earned an MPH degree in Int'l Health & Human Rights from The Johns Hopkins University. In 2018, they completed a Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems from Tufts University. Serena is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, which is expected to be completed in 2024.
