Elissa Leibowitz Poma is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in media and organizational communications. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Communications Planning at the World Wildlife Fund since April 2007, Elissa has held multiple key roles, including Communications Lead for the COVID-19 Working Group and Director of Internal Communications. Prior to this, Elissa worked at the National Association for the Education of Young Children as a Senior Meeting Planner and spent over a decade at The Washington Post in various capacities, ultimately serving as Special Assistant to the Office of the Publisher. Elissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from The George Washington University.
