Gabby Ahmadia is a seasoned conservation professional with extensive experience in marine science. Currently serving as Vice President of Area Based Conservation for Oceans at the World Wildlife Fund since October 2012, Gabby focuses on the monitoring and evaluation of Marine Protected Areas. Prior to this role, Gabby was a Graduate Assistant and PhD Candidate at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, specializing in the ecology of cryptobenthic coral reef fishes. Gabby's early career includes work as an Environmental Technician at the Department of Land and Natural Resources. Gabby holds a PhD in Coastal and Marine Systems Science from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, a Master of Science in Marine Ecophysiology from the University of West Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Humboldt State University.
