Heidi Ridgley

Heidi Ridgley is an accomplished Senior Copy & Content Editor at the World Wildlife Fund since June 2023, with extensive experience in freelance writing and editing since January 1998. Prior to this role, Heidi served as Editor for Defenders of Wildlife from January 2006 to June 2023, directing a quarterly magazine with a readership of 350,000 and managing a $500,000 annual budget. Additional experience includes a position as Senior Editor at the National Wildlife Federation from December 2000 to February 2005 and earlier editorial roles at Defenders of Wildlife. Heidi holds a BA in Journalism and History from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, earned between 1989 and 1993.
