Irma Larrea

Irma Larrea is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in conservation finance and project management at the World Wildlife Fund since 2001. Currently serving as the Senior Director for the Herencia Colombia Project Finance for Permanence Lead, Larrea manages significant initiatives securing $245 million USD for the protection of Colombian landscapes. Previous roles include Director of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Deputy Director of Markets and Food, and various management positions related to sustainable food and energy initiatives in the Galapagos and Amazon regions. Larrea’s career also encompasses public relations and communication roles at Fundacion Natura Ecuador and editorial positions with various publications aimed at local government officials. Larrea holds a Master of Arts in Communication and Development from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Communications from Universidad Central del Ecuador.
