Janet Saeni-Oeta

Country Lead, Solomon Islands at WorldFish

Janet Saeni-Oeta is the country lead for WorldFish in the Solomon Islands. She hails from the Solomon Islands and is married with four children.

For almost ten years, she has led a successful career with WorldFish in the Solomon Islands, doing research to assist communities in managing the marine environment. She has vast experience working with communities, government ministries, provincial government partners, non-governmental organizations and universities.

She holds a master’s degree in environmental management from Lincoln University in New Zealand, as well as a degree in sociology and marine affairs from the University of the South Pacific in Fiji.
