Hisham Osman

Hisham Osman has a diverse work experience in data engineering and software engineering roles. Hisham is currently working as a Data Engineer at Worldreader since 2021. Previously, they served as a Data Science and Engineering Lead at PEGAfrica from 2018 to 2021, where they focused on data science support and innovation for a social enterprise startup in the energy and financial services industries. In this role, Hisham generated monthly customer churn analysis and migrated the analytics database from MySQL to Amazon Redshift.

Hisham also worked as a Data Engineering & Machine Learning Tutor at Blossom Academy from 2019 to 2020, where they taught courses on data warehousing, data modeling, data pipeline design, web scraping, and machine learning.

Before that, Hisham gained experience as a Software Engineering Consultant at Metropolitan Television in 2018, where they created and launched an online news web portal and implemented Google Adsense into the platform. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at DiaDaa from 2015 to 2018, developing an online platform connecting consumers to farmers and designing a supply chain process for farm produce.

Hisham's earlier experience includes working as a Teaching Assistant at Kwame Nkrumah' University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, where they held tutorial sessions, graded assignments, and assisted students in programming classes using Matlab and R.
