Mar Ortega Pueyo

Mar Ortega Pueyo has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Their most recent position was as the Associate Director of Finance at Worldreader, where they oversaw the financial performance of the Global organization and led financial grant management responsibilities and strategic planning initiatives. Prior to this role, Mar served as the Finance Manager and Accountant for Europe/UK & India at Worldreader, ensuring successful financial management and compliance with accounting standards and tax obligations. They also held a part-time role as Assistant Manager of Finance at Worldreader, where they assisted with bookkeeping tasks and ensured the smooth running of the Barcelona office. Before joining Worldreader, Mar worked as a Tax Consultant at Tandem TM & Associats, managing a portfolio of clients and providing guidance on tax obligations. They also gained experience in marketing and PR through an internship at Amazing PR and as an Online Marketing Assistant during an internship at GX World.

Mar Ortega Pueyo earned a Master's degree in Financial Management from EAE Business School between 2016 and 2018. In 2012, Pueyo completed an Advanced Course on Accountancy at the Barcelona School of Management. Additionally, in the same year, they completed a training program on International Standards on Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism & Proliferation at Conversia Consulting Group.
