Kevin Kloosterman is a seasoned professional in the field of mechatronics, currently serving as a Teacher Mechatronics at ROC Mondriaan since September 2014. With extensive involvement in international competitions, Kevin holds the position of Deputy Chief Expert Mechatronics for WorldSkills Europe since December 2016 and for WorldSkills International until March 2024, contributing to major events such as EuroSkills and WorldSkills 2022. Kevin has a strong background in competition organization with WorldSkills Netherlands and Vakkanjers, where responsibility included training students and managing logistics. Prior to educational roles, Kevin worked as a Bus Driver at HTM Personenvervoer N.V. and as a Software Engineer PLC at Weighpack International, showcasing a diverse skill set that began with internships at Festo Nederland and Weighpack International. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Education from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and a vocational qualification in Mechatronics from ROC Mondriaan.

Sinds 2002 zet de stichting Skills Netherlands zich in ter promotie van het beroepsonderwijs en vakmanschap onder jongeren. Onze visie is om jongeren te inspireren en te motiveren voor beroepsonderwijs en vakmanschap. Vakwedstrijden staan hierbij centraal. Deze worden in samenwerking met onze partners georganiseerd op scholen of op beroepenevenementen. We geven jongeren hiermee de kans te excelleren in hun vak.
