James Tauscher, CMP has a diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. James most recently served as the Senior Director of US Procurement at WorldStrides since December 2019. Prior to that, they were the Director of Conference Services at The Hay Adams Hotel from February 2016 to December 2019, where they oversaw all details for organization's programs and managed budgeting and forecasting for the Catering & Sales Department. Before that, they worked at W Hotels as the Food & Beverage Manager/Banquet & Event Manager from April 2015 to June 2016, where they oversaw the execution of meetings and events and managed day-to-day operations of a restaurant/club venue. James also worked at Westin Hotels & Resorts, initially as a Steward and then in various roles such as Executive Meeting Specialist, Banquet Captain, and Manager of Banquets, Restaurants, and Bars. James started their career as an intern at Charleston Nut Company and Hilton Head Popcorn Company, where they assisted the sales and marketing team. Prior to that, they worked at Rivertowne Country Club in various positions in the culinary department.

James Tauscher, CMP holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Hospitality Administration/Management from the College of Charleston. James has further obtained certifications as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) from the Events Industry Council in 2019, ServSafe Manager Certified from ServSafe Certified in September 2015, and TIPS Trainer from Health Communications, Inc. (The TIPS Program) in 2014.
