Emmet Browne

Emmet Browne has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry. Emmet started their career as a Research Assistant at University College London Hospitals in 1999. Emmet then joined ICON Clinical Research as a Clinical Data Management Project Leader, where they managed multiple Phase III/IV trials for major pharmaceutical and biotech companies. In 2005, Browne became a Principal Clinical Data Manager at Amgen, where they were responsible for managing a program of outsourced studies in the Oncology Supportive Care group.

Browne later worked at Roche Pharmaceuticals as a Clinical Pharmacology Data Manager, overseeing CDM activities for multiple Phase I Virology and Cardiovascular trials. Emmet then moved to Richmond Pharmacology, where they served as the Head of CDM, Programming, and Statistics, leading operational activities for Phase 1 studies.

From 2009 to 2014, Browne joined Cmed Clinical Services, first as the Head of Clinical Data Management in Romania and later as a Director, Strategic Accounts and Director of Business Development. In this role, they developed and managed key client relationships and worked on business process initiatives.

After their tenure at Cmed, Browne worked at Medidata Solutions as a Global Account Manager, handling global enterprise accounts. Their most recent position is Vice President, Commercial EU at Worldwide Clinical Trials, where they oversee business development and commercial operations in Europe. Additionally, Browne served as the Association Chair for ACDM org from 2013 to 2016, where they defined the association's strategy and worked to support clinical data management professionals in the industry.

Emmet Browne obtained an MBA degree in Corporate Business from The Open University in the period 2011-2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bsc (Hons) degree in Biochemistry/Toxicology from the University of Surrey from 1997-2000. Before that, they earned a BSc in Science from the University of Galway in the years 1994-1997. Additionally, they obtained an Irish Leaving Certificate from Rockwell College from 1991-1994.
