Mauricio Salinas has extensive experience in the field of clinical research. Starting in 2001, they worked as a Lead CRA at GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals until 2003. From 2003 to 2006, they served as a Clinical Team Manager at PPD. Mauricio then joined Wyeth as a Clinical Project Manager before moving on to ICON Clinical Research in 2008, where they assumed the role of Senior Project Manager and was responsible for clinical operations in the Chilean office. After a sabbatical, they worked at DOCS as a Senior Clinical Research Associate and later returned to the position of Senior Clinical Project Manager at ICON Clinical Research. In 2012, they took another sabbatical before joining On a Sabbatical!! as a Senior Clinical Project Manager. In 2013, they became a Senior Clinical Trial Manager at ICON plc, managing various studies including children and adolescent depression, as well as cardiovascular outcomes studies. Mauricio then worked at Quintiles as a Global Clinical Lead Manager before joining Worldwide Clinical Trials. At Worldwide Clinical Trials, Mauricio started as an Associate Director Project Management, working on rare diseases and sickle cell disease, before being promoted to Director Project Management.
Mauricio Salinas completed their Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy/Therapist from Universidad de Chile from 1987 to 1992. Prior to that, in 1986, they attended Universidad de Antofagasta for Physical Therapy/Therapist but did not complete the degree. In 1995, they obtained the certification of Registered Physical Therapist from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy.
