Daniel Ruppert has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Daniel currently works as an Esports and Engagement Specialist at Wounded Warrior Project since January 2021, where they are responsible for engaging with the gaming community and managing esports initiatives. Prior to this role, they served as an Alumni Outreach Specialist at the same organization from December 2015 to January 2021.
In 2020, Daniel worked as a Staff Writer for Buckeyes Wire at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, starting in August and continuing to the present. Here, they write articles about Ohio State University's sports program.

In 2014, Daniel had two roles within different companies. Daniel was a Sales Director at the 35 Denton Music Festival from May to December, where they managed a sales team, organized advertising and sponsorship opportunities, and coordinated with local businesses. Additionally, they worked as a Copywriter at SWOOP Agency during the same period, where they wrote copy for various media and conducted research for advertising campaigns.
From 2010 to 2012, Daniel served as a Research Manager/Work Lead for the Human Terrain System in Afghanistan. In this role, they conducted anthropological assessments, acted as a liaison between the US Army and local authorities, and led research teams.
Before that, they were a Marketer at Empire Today from 2008 to 2010, representing the brand and arranging meetings between customers and sales teams. Daniel also performed competitive analysis and gathered customer needs information.
From 2006 to 2008, they held the position of Marketing and Communications Manager at Morningside Place, where they developed marketing plans for assisted living facilities and acted as a brand representative at trade shows. Daniel managed sales and residency, and served as a point of contact for media and potential customers interested in Alzheimer's care and assisted living.
In their early career, Daniel served in the US Army as a PSYOP NCO from 1996 to 2004. Daniel created international products for information dissemination and conducted primary and secondary research for target audience groups.
Daniel Ruppert attended the University of North Texas from 2012 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism - Advertising.
