Project Odyssey Specialist at Wounded Warrior Project

Holly Greenston, M.Ed., C.A.G.S. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of education, mental health, and addictions recovery. Holly is currently working as a Project Odyssey Specialist at Wounded Warrior Project since September 2021.

From 2018 to 2021, Holly worked as an Educator at Northeast Independent School District, where they implemented social skills and self-regulation lessons for spirited and maverick students. Holly also collaborated with families and staff to support students.

Holly has also served as a Professional Development Consultant since 2010, providing training for social service and mental health agencies. Their workshops and presentations cover various topics such as motivational interviewing, trauma understanding, and creative interventions, as well as engaging youth, substance abuse, and parenting skills.

In their role as a Clinical Leader at Mash Trust Mental Health and Addictions Recovery from 2015 to 2017, Holly implemented evidence-based practices and models in service delivery. Holly also educated and coached staff and developed psychoeducational and substance awareness curricula for different settings and populations.

Prior to that, Holly owned Hamilton Counseling, LLC from 2006 to 2014, where they provided mental health and addictions recovery services to Native American Tribes, correctional facilities, school districts, universities, and community agencies. Holly also designed and managed treatment plans for incarcerated populations.

Holly has also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Northeastern University from 2012 to 2013, where they developed curriculum for Chemical Dependency Studies and facilitated undergraduates in networking with local agencies.

Additionally, Holly worked as a Child and Adolescent Therapist at The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester in 2005, where they provided outpatient treatment and counseling services to at-risk youth and refugee populations.

Throughout their career, Holly has demonstrated a commitment to client-driven care, ethical practices, and the promotion of wellness and recovery.

Holly Greenston, M.Ed., C.A.G.S., has an extensive education history that spans over several years and includes various degrees and certifications. In 1998, they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from George Mason University. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from the University of New Hampshire from 2001 to 2003.

In 2009, Holly enrolled at Northeastern University, where they pursued a C.A.G.S. (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study) in Counseling Psychology, which they successfully completed in 2011. Continuing their educational journey, in 2012, they attended the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Center for Integrated Primary Care, where they obtained a Certificate of Intensive Training in Motivational Interviewing.

Moreover, Holly has also obtained additional certifications to enhance their professional skills. In August 2021, they earned a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification from CrossFit.
