Program Manager, Mental Health And Wellness at Wounded Warrior Project

Kate Brett has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Kate started their career as an HR Staffing Assistant at Kelly Services in July 2009 and worked there until April 2010. Following this, they joined Pro Image Photography and Custom Framing in February 2011 as a Manager. In this role, they managed a team of 10 employees and coordinated with military personnel for photoshoots. Kate maintained relationships with Public Affairs Officers to ensure accurate press releases. Kate then transitioned to the Wounded Warrior Project in April 2014, where they held two roles. As an Event Specialist, they actively planned, coordinated, and executed networking events for veterans and their families. Kate also facilitated the transition of service members and their families to federal, state, and local agencies. Later, Kate took on the position of Program Manager at the Wounded Warrior Project in August 2020. In this role, they oversaw the vetting process of potential Peer Leaders and volunteers and managed the administration of alumni peer leader activities.

Kate Brett earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Communications from Norwich University, between 2002 and 2005. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as the AMA Certified Professional in Management™ from the American Management Association in September 2020, and the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training- ASIST from Livingworks Education USA in August 2015.
