Michelle Vargas

Michelle Vargas, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Michelle began their career in 2000 as a Resort Transportation Coordinator at Carey Worldwide Chauffeured Services, where they established and managed the transportation desk at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort. Michelle also organized group airport transfers and coordinated with guest services and Bell Captains to provide support during peak service hours. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as a Server & Hostess at LuLu's Waterfront Grille.

In 2003, Michelle joined The Walden Law Firm, LLC as an Administrative Assistant, and then moved on to Executive Transportation Services in 2005. At Executive Transportation Services, they held the position of Director of Administrative Affairs, where they managed reservationists, dispatchers, and administrative assistants. Michelle was also responsible for handling transportation requests involving groups of more than 20 passengers and creating and following up on proposals and contracts.

Michelle joined Wounded Warrior Project in 2008 and held various roles during their tenure. Michelle began as an Executive Assistant to the CEO, where they coordinated the CEO's personal and professional calendar, arranged travel logistics, and assisted in the coordination and planning of Wounded Warrior Project related events and projects. In 2011, they were promoted to Special Assistant to the CEO, serving as a collaborative partner to the CEO and managing the activities of the executive administrative staff. After four years in this role, Michelle became the Direct Response Director in 2015. In this position, they provided oversight and strategic direction for various marketing strategies to grow and diversify the donor base while engaging and retaining existing donors. Michelle worked cross-functionally with senior leadership, directors, managers, specialists, and coordinators to ensure alignment with departmental goals and maximize performance and impact.

Michelle Vargas, MBA, completed their education with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of North Florida. Michelle further pursued their studies and earned an Executive MBA from Jacksonville University. In addition to their degrees, Michelle also obtained a CFRE Certification from CFRE International in March 2020.
