Chaeyo Lee

Chaeyo is a jewelry designer, creative director, artist, metalsmith and goldsmith based in Brooklyn, New York.

She received her B.A. in Metal Arts at Seoul National University of Science and Technology and holds an Applied Jewelry Professional™ (AJP) diploma from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Chaeyo has won the Jeweler's Choice Award (2018) and the International Pearl Design Award (2001).

She is known for classic designs that have an element of surprise or twist to them. Her range is wide from being able to create simple, timeless elements mixed in with unexpected, out-of-the-box ideas that propel the jewelry design forward.

Chaeyo draws inspiration from the stories and the details that abound in old city architecture. The specialness and connectivity of buildings established generations ago is what she aims to capture whenever she designs a new piece.

Though her favorite engagement ring designs change often, she always likes adding a hidden detail to reflect the uniqueness of the couple or the wearer. It’s important to her to take inspiration from the couple’s story and translate it into a ring that’s one-of-a-kind.
