Ben Haines

Ben Haines has a diverse work experience in various industries. Ben is currently an Engineering Manager at Woven Planet, a subsidiary of Toyota that focuses on automated driving, smart cities, and robotics. Prior to this, they worked at Lyft as a Software Engineer in their Autonomous Vehicle Division. At Blue Vision Labs, they had a role as a Research Engineer. Ben also has experience in the education sector, where they worked as an IT Professional Development Coordinator and IT Technician at the Education for the Children Foundation, a UK-based charity. Ben has also worked in academia as a Computer Graphics and Programming Course Tutor & Lecturer at the University of Nottingham. Additionally, Ben participated in a government outreach scheme as an sKTP Postgrad, connecting UK industries with leading universities. Ben also had an internship as a Computer Graphics Intern at the University of Nottingham.

Ben Haines completed their Bachelor's Degree in Maths and Computer Science at the University of Nottingham from 2008 to 2011. Ben then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Vision and Image Processing at the same university, which they completed from 2011 to 2016.
