Kiwamu Asai

Kiwamu Asai, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Kiwamu currently holds the position of Global Head of Controlling at Woven by Toyota since 2022. Prior to this, Kiwamu worked at Informatica from 2017 to 2022, where they held various positions, including Senior Director - Asia Pacific Japan Finance, Director - Asia Pacific Japan Finance, and Country Controller - Japan.

Before joining Informatica, Kiwamu served as CFO Japan at Interbrand in 2016. Prior to that, they worked at Bain & Company as a Controller, Japan from 2014 to 2015.

Kiwamu has also gained valuable experience at Twitter as a Senior Accounting Manager in 2013, and at Microsoft in roles such as Senior Accounting Manager and Senior Controls & Compliance Manager from 2008 to 2013.

Earlier in their career, Kiwamu worked at Acucela Inc. as the Director of Finance in 2006, at Goldman Sachs as an Accounting Manager for Hotels & Onsen SPCs from 2005 to 2006, and at KPMG US in various roles from 1998 to 2005, including Senior Manager, Audit (Canada) and Manager, Supervising Senior Accountant, Senior Accountant, Staff Accountant, Assistant Accountant.

Kiwamu Asai, CPA, has a diverse education history spanning several institutions and degrees. In 1986, Kiwamu graduated from Scarsdale High School. Kiwamu then pursued higher education and obtained an Associate of Arts degree in General Curriculum - Asian Division from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 1995. During their time at the University of Maryland Global Campus, Kiwamu achieved Magna Cum Laude honors and specialized in Accounting. Subsequently, in 1997, Kiwamu earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder.

To further enhance their knowledge and professional prospects, Kiwamu is currently a candidate in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the University of Maryland Global Campus, with an expected completion date between 2021 and 2023. Notably, their pursuit of this degree takes place at Camp Zama, a U.S. Army installation.

Furthermore, Kiwamu Asai holds the designation of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), which they obtained from the Washington State Board of Accountancy in May 2000.
