Norihito Nakata

Norihito Nakata has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Norihito is currently working as a Simulation Software Engineer at Woven by Toyota since November 2022. Prior to that, they were a Consultant at SAS from April 2021 to October 2022.

From January 2017 to April 2021, Nakata worked at G&N Corporation as a Data Analyst and Business Development Engineer. As a Data Analyst, they conducted various analyses and evaluations related to solar power plants using tools such as MATLAB, Python, PVsyst, and Excel. Norihito also gave presentations to customers regarding power improvement evaluations. In their role as a Business Development Engineer, they provided technical and business consultation for solar plant operation and maintenance to improve efficiency.

Before joining G&N Corporation, Nakata worked at ABB from June 2015 to November 2015 as a Product Manager, where they managed quality issues and provided technical support to clients who installed solar inverters. Norihito also worked as an Application Engineer at ABB from July 2014 to May 2015, where they provided energy-efficient solutions for solar power systems and offered technical consultation and support to clients.

Nakata's early career began at Toshiba in April 2010, where they worked as a Power Plant C&I Engineer. In this role, they were involved in the manufacturing and delivery of contaminated water purification facilities. Norihito also designed control systems and developed simulation models for power plant analysis.

Throughout their work experience, Nakata has gained expertise in various technical skills such as programming with MATLAB/Simulink and data analysis using Python and Excel. Norihito has demonstrated a strong background in renewable energy, project management, and quality control.

Norihito Nakata completed their Master's degree in Physical Sciences at Kyoto University from 2004 to 2010. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Japan Statistical Society Certificate Grade 1 (統計調査一級) from the Japan Statistical Society in December 2021. Norihito also holds a certification as a 2nd Class Electric Works Specialist (一般財団法人電気技術者試験センター) from the Institute of Electrical Installation Engineers, obtained in January 2020.

Furthermore, Norihito Nakata has completed several online specializations. Norihito obtained a Deep Learning Specialization certification from Coursera in March 2019 and a Data Science Specialization certification from Coursera in January 2019. Norihito also achieved an Applied Information Technology Engineer Examination (応用情報技術者試験) certification from the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA) in December 2019.
